Ugh..... Mehead is back, but he's getting me to go to different chats on different wikis. Worse, he has apparently reported me to Wikia with a form making me look like a villain.
This has gone far enough. Action towards Mehead needs to be taken ASAP. :/

Create a new template for existing wikia page~help?

I play Sword2 and there is not a single website that has both updated information or enough information. Frustrated by this, I decided to update the Sword Of The New World Wikia page (starting with the character Calypso). Its been a daunting task!
Its taken me every bit of 7 hours to figure out the text codes for certain colors, background colors, and boxes but beyond that I'm lost. I know nothing of webpage design. I am not looking to redesign a webpage-just create a template with a nice appearance that is seperated by individual boxes (all linked together) for the Character base stats, Character information with an adjacent pane with other specific details. And beneath this window would be two charts-one for Stance (learned abilities) and Quest/Mission since each character has their own seperate set of quests.

I cant seem to find that template nor can I copy it. I sent a message to Wikia Support and moments later, the page changed in appearance and totally messed it up the appearance by adding a CONTENTS box. Can you help? If not, then I'm tossing in the towel cuz its beyond my skills-I can edit but cannot create templates.

  Thanks for contacting us. Developing a template can be a complicated task, and I don't blame you for being frustrated. There isn't a fast answer, but I can tell you two good places for getting help:
  1) http://forums.wikia.com is full of helpful technical users who can advise you and help out with what you're doing. Just describe what you want, post example links, and (most importantly) post a link to the page where you're trying to build it, and they can help you get it to where you need it to be.
  2) http://community.wikia.com/wiki/Community_Central:Community_Development_Team/Requests Wikia's Community Development team takes requests for helping to spruce up wikis. Read up on their guidelines and ask for what you need.
  If neither of these get you where you need to go, you might want to consider adjusting your plans to have a layout that's easier to build. If something's hard to create, it will probably also be hard to maintain, so sometimes simpler is best.
